Let's see. The OP wants someone to fit-in with a tight-knit group, even on
political points. Techwhirlers think that politics should not be used to
evaluate an employment candidate. We don't know who brought up politics at
the lunch, but we have sufficiently argued points about every possibility of
who brought it up.

We can repeat every point to see if we can figure out who initiated the
political discussion and what the outcome should be about whether the
candidate should be hired for each possibility. Oh wait, we've already done
that a few times. I guess if we get the urge to repeat ourselves again, we
could read through the thread and rebuild the circular argument but resist
the temptation to post the argument because circular arguments can never
have a definitive conclusion.

How's this? Let's just wait and see if OP will post again to answer the
unanswered questions. I'm on the edge of my seat with anticipation...
