Well folks I finally figured it out. The headers cannot be preceded with
the word style and must say simply Header 1, 2, 3 etc. What I ended up
doing was:

* Selected one of the original Style Header 1 + Verdana headers
* Showed Styles and Formatting
* Selected all instances of the header from the "Formatting of
selected text" drop-down
* Revealed Formatting
* Selected the Paragraph Style
* Selected Heading 1 and applied it to all instances of the
original Style Heading 1 + Verdana
* Modified (bolded) the headers after applying the Heading 1 style

I don't know if anyone agrees but Word seems to get more and more
confusing to the point where I'm afraid to even think of trying
2007/Vista. On that note has anyone used Open Office and if so how is
your experience with it?
