Even the Wikipedia wa slammed by its creator
recently for the Wik's lack of editorial competence.
Dictionaries have their faults, yet they act as great
lifesavers when one is cast adrift in a sea of verbiage,
guesswork and opinion.
Imagine that: talented editors, who know what they are doing. :-)

I'd get as many legit dictionaries as I could; but start with the OED,
even for American usage. If only as a foil; and so that mt TW is also
clear for India, Canada, Australia, the UK... You know, the other
English speakers :-).

Regards,

YJ
