Changing iii to 3 would defeat the purpose of the joke, "1, b, iii," since
the original post was, "1, b," instead of, "1, 2" or "a, b."  

Oh wait, are you making a joke?  "We are three great proofreaders."  So it
goes from bad to very wrong?  

I think that the typo, or set of errors, from the original quote can get so
convoluted, by the writers here, that after enough variations, it will,
eventually, be right.
