You could try Adobe Acrobat Professional.
You may be able to remove select pieces of information.

One really helpful tool I stumbled upon by accident was:
If you have Macromedia Freehand MX (which is now an Adobe product),
You may be able to:
Open a new document
IMPORT the PDF
Modify - SPLIT

That may recognize each and every line and dot on the PDF so that you
can
Modify them individually.
It definitely works when a pdf comes from CAD programs such as
Unigraphics or AutoCAD.
It does not work for all pdf's.

Subject: Altium Designer --> line drawing

I received a PDF file from an engineer exported from Altium Designer,
which I need to use to document the components contained on the board.

The drawing has the detail needed for manufacturing (soldering points,
circuitry, etc.) but all I need is a component layout to which I can add
call outs. He says he can't provide any less detail that what his
software exports to PDF.

I don't have the package he uses. Is there anything I can tell him that
would produce a less detailed drawing? If not, how else can I clean this
up with a minimum of work? I have Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to
use.

Thanks for any advice offered.
Michael
