Either way, "communication skills" is still a fuzzball. It'd be ironic
for *our* job description to lack clarity.

See, that's why we're technical writers. People hire us to write clearly
about technical subjects.

Yes, tech writers should also be able to use graphics, but is that the
*first* skill we're hired for?

If you're good enough at graphics* to call yourself a "technical writer
and graphic designer" or "technical writer and illustrator," go ahead!

*In other words, they'd hire you as a graphic designer or illustrator,
regardless of your writing skills.
