One of my favorite RFP requirements of all time:
A certain Western state that shall remain nameless refuses to accept
electronic RFP submissions; however, they *do* require that the
ridiculous number of paper copies they require you to submit be
printed on recycled paper with at least X% (I seem to remember 20)
"post-consumer" content, and you must "certify" this in the RFP
response.
In order to meet this requirement, a very accommodating Kinko's
manager helped me identify--and order--paper solely to do this print
job. He was also nice enough to sign a letter that I wrote for him
certifying that we were being all ecologically responsible and stuff.
