In honor of the rise in zombie movies of late, you should include:

undeadline: Where your boss, who may or may not be a zombie, extends
your deadline for a week.

Too old? That's what I keep wondering about myself 8^).

On a different note, deadlines came up in a discussion I was having with

someone earlier today, and for whatever reasons, I started wondering
about
how many ways the word "deadline" might be defined. Here's a few from
my
list:

a thin filament of nylon line with a baited, attached hook, used to
catch
fish, that's been placed in a natural body of water for an extended
period
of time without a nibble. Sometimes occurs after not meeting a
deliverable
date at work by the end of the week.

a line of once living creatures, no longer living.

a line of customers and their shopping carts waiting to be checked out
at
the cash register counter at a supermarket.

the lines under one's eyes when waking up in the morning after a late
night
date with Tom Waits and a bottle of Jack.

an attempted telephone connection that seems to go nowhere.

a telephone connection that did go somewhere but, because of a less than

favorable response, was prematurely terminated.

Anyone got any others?
