Heard on the radio this morning -- Don Imus is suing his former employer for the $40 remaining on his 5-year contract. They were silly enough to say _in the contract_ that they wanted him to be obnoxious and controversial without limiting that directive.

And then they fired him for going over the line -- after they had failed to provide the line.

I am not a lawyer, but the radio people discussing this -- who were all more than a little conversant with such contracts -- all expressed the opinion that as disgusting as it might be, Don probably has a strong case to get back on the air or collect the cash without having to work for it.

Moral of the story -- if you aren't going to have a lawyer look at the contract, at least throw it by a tech writer.
