As far as it goes, yes. But none of the examples on
this page are contained within texts containing
multiple sentences (unless I missed something), like
paragraphs of sequences of steps.

The information you present in any given sentence
should in part be based on what you've already said in
the text. Saying who or what invaded in "When her
house was invaded, Penelope had to think of ways to
delay her remarriage" is not necessary if it's already given.
