Look at it from their perspective: fewer than 2% of
their users are Firefox-based. They design for the
average person. They have to add hours of development
time, debugging and support for each additional
browser they support. I guess I should call them up
and complain about Konqueror, also a minority market
share, and see if they're willing to spend the money.
Having worked in the industry, I'm also pretty sure
the problem(s) with the auto industry have little to
do with web design. If it were that easy, their MBAs
would have solved it.
