I too went to the conference. Very well done. Did anyone else notice how Madcap dominated the show? They did a great job. I have just recently moved to Flare for Framemaker. I simply brought my laptop with all my files to the show and Madcap resolved the issues I had right then and there. Pretty slick.

I later talked with those who put on the show (Joe Wolenski and his crew) and found out that in 2000, the last year I attended the show after going to all the shows almost from the start in 1992, 1300 people attended. Last week, only 430 attended. STC has 13,000 members down from a high of 26,000 members. Yes, I know there are a lot of reasons for these figures but I can't help but feel that many writers simply left the field.

Hi William

I was one of the folks at the conference representing Adobe and assisting
with booth staffing. Essentially, RJ Jacquez of Adobe demonstrated
Framemaker, showing what it could do. RJ followed this with RoboHelp 6 and
its capabilities. This was followed by John Daigle, who then demonstrated
Adobe Captivate and its possibilities.

Does that get what you were looking for?

Cheers... Rick :)
