Hi,

FM does not support unicode.

Checkout the Character_Sets.pdf file in the default installation
location (C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker7.1\OnlineManuals here).

Cheers,

Sean

Subject: Making the "eng" character display in FrameMaker?

I am copying and pasting translated text (Luganda) from Microsoft Word
into FrameMaker (Windows). One of the characters in the text is not
pasting into Frame correctly.

In Word, the character is identified as follows:
Unicode (hex) 014B
Symbol subset: Latin Extended-A

It appears as a "merged r and j" - basically an "n" with a tail. An
image appears on this webpage link:
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/014b/index.htm

Does anyone know how to get this character to appear in FrameMaker?
