Right, that was my mistake -- the compiler used the RTF, but the writer
edited the DOC.

But the writer was supposed to edit the .doc...RoboHelp for Word has a
macro attached to the Save function that saves the doc, saves the doc
as rtf, and then saves the rtf as doc. You can see it working if the
doc is big enough (the status messages are updated with each step),
but for smaller docs, the messages fly by.
