Some of you may have heard about this already, but I think it's a fascinating challenge for technical and scientific communicators.
"Your goal is to create a video that quickly and clearly explains perhaps the most baffling idea in the history of the world: string theory. And the best part is that you have just two minutes."
Deadline is midnight March 16th (so send your video in by March 15th).
This brings to mind the way that Big Media has been using "new media" to tap the power of the lay person. The Big Game (you know, the S... B...) used amateurs for advertising, podcasts and YouTube entertain and educate, then there's Wikipedia, and now this.
So it begs the question, if knowledge is going directly from lay person to lay person, where does that leave us?
