Either delete the images from the document before saving, or search the
generated HTML code for "img" tags and delete them that way.

Word presumes that HTML renditions of Word .DOC files should be as accurate
as possible. So if you have images in your .DOC file then Word will presume
you want them in the HTML output.

doc as html pages but when i do that the images are still there. Can anyone
