The guidelines for people writing resumes to apply for
direct-hire positions don't necessarily apply to people
hanging out their shingles as self-employed independent
contractors. As a vendor, you want to emphasize what
job applicants often want to deemphasize (a stable history that goes all the way back to Gutenberg).
