I think you misunderstand, Al. They linked to a dialog box that I have on
one of my technical writing sample pages. They didn't ask my permission to
use my work on their site. I substituted the cartoon for my dialog box, only
because the site was in Iran and only because they effectively "stole" my
image of a dialog box, just like they are "stealing" images from other
sites.

In a way, I suppose it's silly, but I figured it was a great way to
"infiltrate" where who knows how many people believe the Holocaust is a
myth. This guy's page is quite popular, and my logs are filled with hits for
what was once a dialog box.

The point being, of course, that when you take someone else's property and
that person you took from changes the content of the property, you are
subject to their content. I anticipated over a year ago that he would take
another picture down that just talked about how humanity was just one single
family and we were all brothers and sisters, but they didn't even notice it
was there.

I figured that with the number of hits on that site, which sometimes clogs
my logs, I might actually accomplish something good by "infiltrating" the
site in this rather sneaky manner. One could say I'm not much better than he
is for sneaking in MY image. I suppose that's a valid point of view. But I
think that it's justified in the same way that baiting the Nigerian scammers
with lies is legitimate.

I don't assume they are, but there are a number of people in that society
who definitely are. Their press will never show such a cartoon, that's for
sure.

(I can't

It's a computer site. At the very least, those who aren't holocaust deniers
have good ammunition to use on those who are.

It's not accepted to just take pictures from other sites, is it, Al? No,
it's not.
I did try blocking once, but for some reason it didn't work right.
