Some, but not all, of our product's man pages show the following warning
when vieed--does anyone know what is the cause and the cure?

" WARNING: old character encoding and/or character set"

I single-source the man pages from FrameMaker doc on a Windows box, using
conditionalized nroff commands. Maybe there's something about the Win char
font vs. the Linux char font? We have all sorts of Linux packages here;
every developer has installed his or her favorite flavor. Does the Linux
package play any role?

I can find nothing useful on the web about this message. There is lots of
cryptic info about UTF8 and Latin1, which I can't figure out.
