Here's something positive. Each of us has a good reason for spending some
time preparing emergency kits for our cars--no matter what climate you live
in. At the very least, get a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher for your
car. Find out what local authorities recommend for your climate or
environment.

These tragedies happen every year. It took a celebrity getting in trouble to
really get people thinking about the problem. While we mourn, we also need
to learn from others' mistakes and misfortunes. Don't waste the opportunity.

True enough.

It applies on a lesser scale too; I wonder how many tech support people
out there have spent hours trying to solve problems caused by people
who, faced with instructions to not press X, have pressed X anyway?

At times I wonder why I bust a gut producing documentation nobody's ever
going to read, or believe if they do...

Someone say something positive, quick!
