Aha! That's what we in the UK would call a `central reservation'.

Hmm... AFAIK, we in India still call it a divider. Of course, that's
probably because it's literally a wall-like construction in the middle
of the road; the huge gaps between opposing traffic lanes, as in the
US/UK, are very very rare in India.
