Our style guide has the same thing, actually. The university style guide dictates "Web," so we cascade that to our IT style guide. But webmaster is lowercase.

<shrug>It's English. These things don't always make perfect sense.</shrug>

Lisa, who is not (yet, anyway) in the "fuddy-duddy" bracket.
