No, it's not, and the context for those salary figures is also
everything; I'm earning well north of that, but I also live and work
in New York City, where the cost of living is absurdly high, the
*average* salary for a tech writer with a little experience is $80K,
and the real purchasing power of my "impressive" salary is probably
the equivalent of $75K per year back in North Carolina, where I spent
the first 30 years of my life.
