It's late on Friday, but I figure we've got all next week to fill with fun.

The subject is: samples of really bad technical writing you've run across.
Here are a few of my favorites:

"If head does not settle fully onto shaft, wiggle and use a soft hammer to
enable head to slide onto shaft."
(From an equipment manual I revised for a client. It was pretty funny in the
context of the manual. It got a lot funnier when I took it out of context.)

"This is the screen that normally sees the operator." (OK, the OEM was
Italian, so they get a bit of a break.)

"The large wind turbines seen driving through Iowa and southern Minnesota
are 1.65 megawatts." (Watch out for road rage - it'll get ugly.)
