You need to get organized and generally approach this compliance thing directly. It sounds like the GAO needs their vendor (Clovernook) to provide some sort of documentation that their paper products are recyclable. The VP can at least give you the auditor's name, the name of the agency in charge of compliance auditing, and the contact info. Together you can get in touch with the agency, order copies of the regs and request whatever assitance they provide vendors in getting these forms and regs in order, and get the auditor to brief you on what is needed for Clovernook to continue producing product for GAO. When the auditor returns, you'll be able to show progress toward compliance.

Good luck,

Greetings,

My team is trying to help a non-profit org, The Clovernook Center, which is
a non-profit 501(3c) company, with a documentation project. FYI, Clovernook
trains and employs blind and visually-impaired people. In Memphis, they
manufacture green paper products (disposable cups and file folders).

What they need help with is, *some kind* of manual to document compliance
with Federal Standard 368. I Googled for that, and came up with a variety of
stuff - my guess is that it pertains to standards for recyclable product
claims and advertising.

The Clovernook VP I spoke with was not clear on the requirements (she has a
non-profit admin background) but says that a GAO auditor already came by,
and will be returning soon .

Is anybody familiar with those standards, and can you advise as to what kind
of documentation is required?

BTW, we will be doing this pro bono.

Appreciate any help!
