Hi all,

I knew I was going to start this debate (again, I imagine). No regrets,
though, it's interesting, even if it doesn't answer my original MS Word
question.

My tuppence:
- Understand the index. You should know what it measures.
- Understand that an index will only tell you part of the readability
story, but that it could be interesting on your "quality dashboard".

But most of my manuals have pretty decent scores, so there must be some
good in them ;-).
