You can always take your chances, but I didn't and I wouldn't recommend that
you roll the dice on this one. My recommendation is to convert your WinHelp
projects to HTML-based projects, ending up with your content in HTML. I
don't remember specifically the version of RH you are using, but I *think*
you should be able to select DW <or another tool> as your HTML editor. I use
a 3rd party editor <Dreamweaver> to write my content.
I am putting the final touches on converting my 119 WinHelp files to 8 CHM
files. You may want to consider hiring a contractor to take some of your
lesser-used projects and converting them to HTML for you. For example, there
were projects that I converted that had not been changed in months. Looking
back, those projects would have been the ones to have had a contractor help
me alleviate the process. I'm fairly confident you can find experienced
WinHelp --> HTML contractors either on this list or through the techwr-l job
site.

Subject: WinHelp on Vista
<SNIP>
Do any of you know whether our current help solution (WinHelp files +
ROBOEX32.DLL) will work on Vista after the WinHelp engine is downloaded?
Should my company decide that it is not acceptable to expect users to
download the help engine, is there an easy way to migrate to HTML Help
whilst continuing to edit the topics within Word documents?
