creation of a javahelp executable file

In the m$ world it is easy to create a chm file which a user can
simply click to activate the help file.

Can I do the same for unix? My initial idea is to create a javahelp
jar file and instruct the unix user to activate via their localdisk
installation of java.

Ideally, for the unix user, is it possible to create the javahelp jar
file such that when the user clicks on the file, it automatically
looks for the localdisk installation of java, to open the help file?

The documentation is to be saved to a compact disc.
