[2]PHanson -at- Quintrex -dot- com asked, "who *documents* their music collection, that is
, has a list of their diverse music collection?"
Well, I admit to having tried, but I've never kept it very up-to-date. When I
got out of the Marines I did have a nice spreadsheet showing all the CDs I had
and many I planned to buy including where to get it for the best price. But tha
t was many moons ago.
I keep waiting for some enterprising person to invent a way to link the spread
sheet with my Amazon and music club wishlists.
Since virtually everything sold today has a barcode, why not use a barcode
reader (or wand) to enter into a spreadsheet all the CDs you own now, then
use the spreadsheet to do the alphabetical order thing.
Unfortunately, if you're like me, a lot of my CDs are copies of vinyl that
were purchased in the 60s-80s and are no longer in my possession. They have
no bar codes, but they have been to bars.
