I can totally understand the point of view expressed in the "rant." I
can even understand the frustrations. I've seen several of the bugs
our poster friend talked about (particularly the dictionary bug), and
I've taken them to the Help Community as well as support with some
measure of success in getting resolutions. Not all my problems were
solved and not all were solved quickly, but I think the support is
doing a good job of trying.
But I think I agree with the poster; even minimal QA should have
caught a bug like the dictionary automatically turning off. And
version 1 or otherwise, I would still expect a functional product.
True, you can't expect perfection, but what's wrong with solid
functionality? If our poster is truly experiencing crashing bugs and
data loss, that's a big problem that deserves some review.
That's my two cents.
