I'm using Frame 7.1, but I don't think I heard of conditional text
operations changing for 7.2, so this should still apply. Unfortunately,
I don't know of a global way to change conditional text, and as you
noticed, the Change feature is severely limited.
Here's how to get it to change the way you are trying:
1. Apply the correct conditional text setting to a piece of text.
2. Select the text.
3. Select Edit > Copy Special > Conditional Text Settings.
4. In the Find/Change window under Change, select the By Pasting
option.
Now you can search for the old tag doing what you described and change
it to the new one.
And there are always exceptions. This find/change will only work if all
of the text you're searching for will use the same conditional text
setting when you're done. If some pieces of text have different
settings, you can search for the old condition, but you'll have to
manually remove the old condition and apply the new one.
I'm sure there are people who can think of an easier way to do this
using MIF, but that's not my area of expertise.
Happy Friday!
