Subject:RE: Include statements on the first printed page? From:"Jessica Weissman" <Jessica -dot- Weissman -at- hillcrestlabs -dot- com> To:<techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Mon, 10 Jul 2006 15:43:44 -0400
I am pretty sure you'd have to use VBA and macros and such to catch and
replace the Word print command. For an example of intercepting a Word
command using macros, look at page 208 (Hack #61) of Word Hacks by
Andrew Savikas. The user could get around this in several ways, the
simplest being screen prints.
Why not put the copyright notice in the footer? Or a compact version of
it if you lack space? Or in a watermark?
Or distribute the doc in an unprintable form (PDFs can be set up to
forbid printing without a password).
What is the actual goal here?
