Re: OFF-TOPIC question about an office thing
It's becoming more of an issue. My wife gets headaches
when heavily perfumed people pass her, and some (mostly
floral) perfumes make me sneeze. Some people are just more sensitive than others. One theory is that the scent-
sensitive have traditionally suffered in silence and are just becoming more vocal, another is that we are so constantly bombarded with scents and other airborne chemicals that we are all becoming more and more sensitized and these extra-sensitive folks are just human canaries.

My long-term girlfriend works as a manager in an office of a foundation
and a co-worker of lower rank has been complaining that her (my
girlfriend's) perfume makes her sick or nauseated. My girlfriend does not
wear heavy perfume. You can hardly tell that she's wearing any perfume at
all. Her perfume does not cause complaints from anyone else. Is this kind of thing an issue in offices? Thanks for your wisdom.
