Rich,

My guess is that you added your TOC to the book file the way that you
would any other Frame file. This won't work if you want the TOC to
update automatically.

1. Delete the TOC file from your book, but leave the file itself in the
directory where you put it.
2. From the book file, select Add > Table of Contents.
3. Select which paragraph tags you want in your TOC, and then click Add.

Frame should automatically name the file the same as what
you had renamed your TOC file to.
4. Generate/update the book.
