I think the first problem with virtually *ALL* FAQs is that they are *NOT* FAQs.

The "F" stands for "Frequently" yet whenever people have sent me their "additions" to add to the FAQ, I ask them if this is really a frequently asked question. The answer, more times than not, is "I dunno".

I think FAQs could be very effective but we tend to build on what we think people are likely to ask and not based in reality.
