Yes, I tried timed capture at the suggestion of TechSmith support. During
the countdown, I opened the drop-down. When the countdown finished, the
cursor changed to cross-hairs to mark that area to capture. As soon as I
clicked to mark the area, the drop-down list disappeared.

And because it's a drop-down on a dialog for a software application we're
developing, I can't send the page to anyone to look at!

But if I do find a solution, I'll be sure to post it!
