Re: Localization Question
"The program will *ask* if you want to continue. *Answer* yes."
Would that it were that easy, Lou. Sure, if you and I have control over the UI design, it can be. But on a Web page with thirty or forty controls in four or five graphically distinct styles each in a different area of the page and arrayed differently from the others--not to mention a bunch of promotional graphics--it is not at all obvious what the program is telling the user, let alone asking.
Try explaining to a client how to manage a domain that's registered through godaddy.com, for example. You need to be able to identify on-page controls at a more granular level than "Go Daddy asks you," and you need to be able to describe what changes visually on the monitor when your user clicks a particular control.
Would I like the Go Daddy interface to be simpler and more intuitive? You bet I would. But that's not my call, is it?
