I NEVER write alright. Nor do I upbraid innocent misuse of it in
circumstances where I have no warrant to correct people.

My question was meant to be humorous, and to suggest that if we
correct very colloquialism in casual communication, as in editing the
phrase "alrighty, then," we look like prigs.

Miss Rock may have disapproved of a number of my other habits, too.
