Re: What areas of FrameMaker should I focus on as a new technicalwriter?
should focus on now to land that first job. My hope is to be
proficient in certain areas of FM to land my first position, then
improve my skills/knowledge of FM once I'm working
in the technical writing field. Any advice from those working in the field?
The basics:
-Create and name a book
-Create and name documents
-Add documents to the book
-Define paragraph and character styles
-Replicate the styles across documents
-Create cross-references
-Incorporate images by inserting and cross-reference
-Define and modify master pages including headers and footers
-Define and modify TOC settings
-Print book
-PDF a book
