Revisiting Version Control ... an option for the masses.

Hello all,
I have a question about Version Control. I would like to implement it
on written documents. The catch? It has to b simple, easily
installed and Executive proof. I know about CVS and TortoiseSVN, but
those are tools for people with a fair amount of experience.
What I need is a simple, somewhat elegant solution that specializes in
documents.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
