That was also how I learned FrameMaker.

I tend learn more by doing than by reading, so I appreciate the clear TOCs and large headings...I can quickly find the applicable topic and apply the info.

The only thing I didn't like about the FM book was that it didn't really explain autonumbering lists (it focused more on autonumbering headers), and I still am not completely sure how to set it up (I haven't used FM in 4 years, though, so I haven't needed to figure it out).

Nonetheless, I felt that is a good way to get started on a topic, and I've used a couple since then.
