I'm of two minds--I have tried to educate recruiters, when I was on the
executive of an STC chapter, to the extent of bringing some of them out
to a meet and greet, so that they could actually listen to tech
writers.

Made everybody feel good for an evening, but had little lasting
consequences. Recruiters serve the recruiting firm first, their clients
second, and us last.

Will your telling them change anything? Can't say.

But, as Richard Farson says in Management of the Absurd, "Lost causes
are the only ones worth fighting for.
