Accuracy (was Re: Most annoying word)

I would be tempted to borrow 'accurize' for use in other contexts, even if it 
is specialized vocabulary from a specific field, because it relates  to 
markmanship, and marksmanship is so well known as THE analogy for accuracy. I 
wouldn't have to bluff the editors, since accurize is demonstrably a real 
word. 

Another techwr-ler suggested privately that 'accurate' is already a verb form, 
if only by backformation and analogy to 'prorate.'  As English goes, I like 
this alternative a lot. Caveat editors!
