Hi Steve, I am sorry to hear about your lay-off. It's never an easy
thing. One thing - do you belong to STC (Society for Technical
Communication - www.stc.org)? If so, the local chapter for your area may
have a list of available jobs. Also, check out Monster and similar sites
and also network like crazy locally. You might make a list of companies
in your area (e.g. tech firms) and check their websites for available
writing positions as well as sending out prospecting letters or emails.
