Hi Jens
There is a book I can recommend highly to you - it's "Technical
Marketing Communication" by Sandra Harner and Tom Zimmerman. It will
tell you everything you need to know in transitioning to a marketing
role. Here's the Amazon link:
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/0205324444/702-0570020-7761609

Note that it is not an inexpensive book.

Good luck
Ron

Subject: From documentation to training

Hi all!

As you know, my company has been closed, but now I have a job with the
company which bought all
the assets.
And I'm changing carreers: there will be training of employees, dealers
and customers in my
future, not only for our products, but also general training like
presentation skills and the
like. Another part of my job will be technical sales (advising customers
and planning their
conference systems).

So, has anyone gone a similar way? Do you have any advice or resources
(books, websites,
newsgroups) on this work areas?

Thanks in advance,

Jens
