Some notes:

1. I think it's worth pointing out that shareware isn't "free". Once
upon a time, you could use shareware as
long as you wanted. Sometimes you had to put up with annoying license
messages. Nowadays, most shareware
is time-limited, and it stops working after a time period, sometimes
as short as 15 days.
2. SnagIt is time-limited shareware, but it is definitely worth $39.95.
The new version just came out.
