Robohelp et al

Question for those working with help file authoring:

I am going to be on the job market this summer after having spent 
several years teaching technical writing, business and professional 
writing, and composition at the college level. My computer skills are 
strong and I can certainly take a class or two to gain familiarity with 
software I've not used before. Robohelp is mentioned in several of the 
job postings I've seen, but  I noticed some threads on this list that 
suggest Robohelp has changed hands and isn't what it used to be.

What would you suggest I do - try to learn Robohelp or some other software?
