Longest "permanent" job was 5 years, (interrupted in the middle for
almost a year, so perhaps it's really only 4). Shortest was 6 days.
Longest contract was about 15 months. Shortest was 5 weeks!
Longest dry spell was 8 months. Shortest was about an hour!

I've been working as a tech writer since 1978.
