Two years ago I created a calendar, designed it in Quark, worked in Photoshop to make the models skinnier than they really were (not joking) and writing interesting tidbits about Minnesota, since the calendar was called Minnesota Finest. The beauty of this was that I wasn't paid and it affected my career for awhile b/c I didn't believe in myself---I mean when you get taken for a lot of money, you wonder, at least I did, as a consultant that I may not be as good of a judge of someone as I thought I was.
