Re: How to indicate a field of bits in a byte
Bitfields are not standarized, and the compiler designer or chip-series
manufacturer will choose a means for labeling bits probably out of
tradition, habit, or convention.
Thanks, all, for the advice. I'll pick one convention and stick with it. (I'm writing a book that references documentation from multiple sources that use different conventions.)
